Space in a tiny house is at a premium, so it’s important to keep things simple. There’s nowhere to store decorations year to year, so Malissa focused on decorating with materials that are recyclable, like using paper to make hand-cut snowflakes.
Since there wasn’t room for a traditional Christmas tree, the couple got creative, positioning hand-cut paper snowflakes onto the wall in the shape of a tree instead. They also hung white lights that were not specific to Christmas, so they could leave them up through the winter to combat the dark nights. “Cozy is a word we hear a lot,” Chris says. “The house looks awesome at night when it’s all lit up. It makes for a very relaxing holiday season.”
