My shed was once the office to the old Grindell’s Trailer Park on a Dennisport beach. The few old cottages there were going to be bulldozed if not saved from destruction. As a descendent of the old Cape Cod mooncussers, I saw a mission in saving a bit of the beach past. Little did I think I would be hauled into the Orleans District Court as a witness to an attempt to save building number 1 of my mission (because the cottage had been deemed abandoned, I had to petition for ownership). Or that I would have to go to the same court to get building number 2 which I did get. High drama for what most would call firewood. Is this kerfuffle a testimony to the value of the old tiny houses we called 1930s cottages?
